WWSC has a Christian foundation and is run with the support of Christian volunteers. Its programmes combine outdoor adventure and community living with opportunities for reflection, character development and meaningful friendships.
White Water Summer Camp (WWSC) is a non-profit outdoor and residential holiday camp in Malaysia that gives children, teenagers and young adults the opportunity to step away from their everyday routines and experience what the camp calls “Pure Good Fun” in the great outdoors.
Rather than focusing on academics or highly structured classroom learning, WWSC centres its experience around nature, friendship, teamwork, personal growth and community living. Campers are encouraged to disconnect from digital distractions, spend time outdoors, take on new challenges and build meaningful relationships with the people around them.
WWSC has been running holiday camps for many years and is supported by a community of volunteers. Its programmes are designed for different stages of childhood and young adulthood, beginning with primary-school children and continuing through secondary school, college and university.
A big part of the WWSC experience is simply getting back outdoors. Campers spend several days living and participating together as a community, with activities designed to encourage teamwork, independence, resilience, leadership and responsibility. Depending on the programme and age group, experiences may include:
